用法筆記
Went is the irregular past-tense form of go. Unlike regular verbs, which add -ed (e.g. walk → walked), the word went comes from a completely different root (the Old English word wendan). This is called a suppletive pattern — the past tense uses a word that does not look like the base verb at all.
